Position Overview

We are seeking a Part-Time Dental Equipment Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on a variety of dental equipment to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in our clinic. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work with advanced dental technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance & Repair

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair dental equipment (e.g., handpieces, autoclaves, X-ray units, chairs, etc.) in a timely manner.

  • Preventive Maintenance
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and ensure optimal equipment performance.

  • Documentation & Inventory
  • Maintain accurate service records, track repair histories, and manage inventory of spare parts and supplies.

  • Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, safety protocols, and relevant dental regulations.

  • Customer Service
  • Communicate effectively with dental staff to schedule repairs, provide equipment usage guidance, and address any technical concerns.

    Qualifications

  • Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or relevant coursework in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field is a plus.

  • Experience
  • Previous experience in equipment repair or a related technical position is preferred. Experience with dental, medical, or similar equipment is highly advantageous.

  • Technical Skills
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities, familiarity with reading and understanding technical manuals, and proficiency with standard repair tools.

  • Other Requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to travel locally (if needed) for on-site repairs
