Director of Enterprise Applications

The Automotive Aftermarket Platform is a global collective organization of leading businesses delivering innovative, high-quality solutions for the automotive aftermarket industry. As part of our shared services team, you will support multiple subsidiaries, each recognized for excellence in emissions systems, drivetrain components, ride control, electronics, and transmission technologies. Our Platform approach enables collaboration, efficiency, and best-in-class performance across diverse product categories, driving value for customers worldwide.
We are a multi-site, multi-brand organization undergoing a major technology transformation to unify our systems, processes, and data into a cohesive enterprise operating model across all business units. Our Platform IT organization serves as a centralized strategic function, providing standards, governance, and enterprise solutions that support modernization and enable consistent, scalable operations across the entire company. The Director of Enterprise Applications plays a critical leadership role within this group, reporting directly to the Platform IT Director, and partnering closely with executive leadership, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, and Business Unit Leaders.
This role will oversee two major teams :
- Enterprise Applications Team - driving consolidation, optimization, governance, and lifecycle management for all applications across the platform.
- ERP Transformation Team - delivering the multi-year consolidation of all subsidiaries into a standardized ERP platform and business model.
Leadership & Strategy
Serve as the strategic owner of the enterprise applications roadmap, architecture, and operating model.Lead and mentor two core teams : the ERP Transformation Team and the Enterprise Applications Team.Partner with executives and business leaders to define requirements, governance models, and transformation priorities.Align systems and data across subsidiaries to enable a unified "house of brands" operating model.Enterprise Applications & Portfolio Management
Oversee consolidation, rationalization, and optimization of all applications in each business unit and across the enterprise.Implement application lifecycle management, governance, and standard processes to reduce redundancy and complexity.Ensure applications integrate effectively with the ERP and enterprise data platforms.ERP Transformation Oversight
Direct the multi-year ERP consolidation program across all business units.Lead the ERP leader responsible for day-to-day project execution, change management, training, and business process design.Ensure standardization and harmonization of core processes, master data, and reporting across all entities.Support the creation and management of steering committees, SMEs, and cross-functional workstreams.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial, HR, and subsidiary leadership to define business requirements and support continuous improvement.Partner with Service Delivery, Infrastructure, Security, and Data teams to ensure broad alignment across architecture, security, and information governance.Execution & Ownership
Own vendor relationships, licensing, negotiation, and contract adherence for enterprise applications.Establish and manage KPIs, SLAs, project milestones, and reporting mechanisms.Drive change management, communication, and training strategies to ensure successful adoption of new tools and processes.Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; Master's preferred.10+ years of experience in Enterprise Applications, ERP leadership, or IT transformation roles.5+ years of leadership experience overseeing multi-disciplinary teams in a complex, multi-entity environment.Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, integrations, and master data management.Familiarity with ERP, PLM, WMS, eCommerce, and operational systems used in manufacturing or distribution are a plus.Experience with integration platforms (Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Integration, etc.).Knowledge of ITIL, SDLC, Agile / Waterfall hybrid delivery models, and application portfolio management.
