Travel / Contract Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse - Days / Nights - Up to $2250 / WK!

Job Requirements

Education Requirements : Must have a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or eligible for licensure in the state.
Certifications Requirements : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team requirement)
Experience Requirements : Minimum of 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
Other Requirements : Ability to perform clinical skills such as drain care, central line management, G / J tubes, Heparin and cardiac GTT management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement / management, and management of various surgical drains; proficient in EMR systems (Epic); reliable transportation to the facility; excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Job Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment, promptly addressing arrhythmias and other vital changes.

Manage surgical drains, G / J tubes, and various surgical sites, ensuring proper care and documentation.

Administer medications, including Heparin GTT and cardiac GTT, following strict protocols and safety guidelines.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including CNAs, charge nurses, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety.
