The Machine Operator will perform basic operation on CNC equipment (i.e. Mills, Lathes, Swiss, EDM, Mill / Turn) to manufacture medical components from raw materials.

Responsibilities

• Operates machines.
• Inspect product per the inspection plan. Learn to deburr parts, if needed.
• Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and continued use.
• Report damaged or spent tooling to Supervisor or machine shop manager for repair / replace.
• Report any non-conforming parts to Supervisor.
• Closely monitor machine operation, detect malfunctions or out of tolerance features, make any necessary adjustments.
• Maintain machining area for cleanliness and minor preventive maintenance (i.e., Coolant levels).
• Record production through Job Boss system.
• Check to ensure all documentation (routers, inspection sheets, scrap tickets, etc.) is filled in correctly and completely following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Take pride in your workmanship and make it your goal to produce a quality product every time.
• Support the EMS Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
