ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Respond to requests for crisis support calls.
- Provide mobile crisis response and intervention services to the community and referral for ongoing resources as needed.
- Offer proactive outreach and non-emergent referrals to behavioral health, social services, and other supportive resources.
- Develop and implement preventative strategies that address recurring community needs and reduce the likelihood of future crises.
- Assess and evaluate personal, physical, and emotional responses on scene and de-escalate crises.
- Collaborate with local agencies to expand resource networks and improve access to preventative programs.
- Develop procedures for on-scene interaction and navigation of resources to enable community members to make informed decisions.
- Maintain and update resource materials, brochures, and community documents.
- Track calls for various daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports.
- Assist in the ongoing evaluation and operation of the program.
- Recruit, maintain, and manage volunteers and interns, including overseeing recognition, uniform supplies, and maintaining a database to track attendance, hours, and eligibility.
- Plan and co-facilitate meetings and training for volunteers and interns.
- Monitor, guide, and evaluate volunteers and interns, including completing required evaluations.
- Contribute to projects that may be routine or non-routine.
- Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule to meet organizational needs, which may include evenings, weekends, on-call, and holidays.
- Comply with the rules, policies, and procedures as set forth by the District.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field relevant to the essential functions of the position.A minimum of two years of community-based work experience with a focus on resource navigation, counseling, or crisis intervention.OROther combinations of education, certification, and / or experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for the pre-employment background check process.
