Location Negotiable :  one school site (in Torrington) or multiple sites (Terryville, Danbury)

Our skilled team collaborates closely with students, families, and districts to design a comprehensive plan that addresses the educational, social-emotional, and transitional needs of each student.

Job Description : EdAdvance is seeking a qualified applicant to provide physical education activities which strengthen our students' physical, behavioral, emotional, social and academic skills. The hours of this position are flexible and can range from part-time (minimum, 3 days per week) to full-time. The qualified candidate will be professional, organized, and able to work independently.

Major Responsibilities :

• Strengthen and develop activities aligned to physical education standards for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage and motivate students
• Utilize restorative practices to help students regulate their behavior, develop perspective-taking, and take personal responsibility for their actions
• Collaborates with the special education teacher and other school staff who are part of each student’s team
• Other duties as may be assigned
