Digital Consultants is seeking a NetApp Administrator supporting US Army North located at Fort Sam Houston a US Army post in San Antonio TX.

Duties to include :

• Primary escalation engineer for NetAPP and ONTAP issues.
• Manage SnapMirror Disaster Recovery
• Have experience with NetApp STIGS in a DOD environment.
• Manage disaster recovery sites data and backups.
• Provides assistance and oversight for all storge systems operations and activities.
• Directly compile records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance troubleshoot network performance issues and provide capacity planning solutions.
• Utilize ONTAP to make point-in-time copies to maximize host and network performance.
• Responsible for configuration management monitoring and maintenance of all storage solutions. Perform system-level configuration of all storage products including determination of software hardware OS and other platform specifications either with on-premises or remote equipment.
• Ensure and monitor that regular scheduled backups are happening as scheduled.
• Utilize software and hardware tools and identify / diagnose complex problems and factors affecting performance.
• Support a variety of IT systems and deploy commercial of the shelf (COTS) and Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) technologies including Microsoft Linux networking NSA Type 1 encryption devices VOIP email video teleconferencing and standard desktop productivity tools.
• Ability to work within the confines of a set time schedule or overtime.
• Maintaining situational awareness (SA) of the network by monitoring the operational activities and events in the IT infrastructure including monitoring security software SIEM systems and appliances. Inform the team lead of any IT infrastructure discrepancies within 10 minutes of detection.
• Responding to events with appropriate action to maintain operations while ensuring the networks security confidentiality integrity and availability. Availability of core network services (authentication messaging collaboration data storage) shall exceed 99% calculated quarterly using the formula time available / total time authorized downtime.
• Diagnosing and resolving IT operations failures.
• Support surge requirements 24 hours a day 7 days a week during key exercises or real-world events.
