Pediatric Medical Assistant
Broken Arrow, OK | Monday-Friday 8am-5pm | $18-$20 / hour DOE | Temp-Perm
Job Summary :
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers in delivering care to pediatric patients, from infants to adolescents. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, administering vaccines, assisting with procedures, and providing excellent communication and support to both children and their families.
Key Responsibilities :
- Greet and prepare patients for exams and procedures
- Take and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature, etc.)
- Assist with vaccinations and basic clinical procedures
- Update and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system
- Support physicians and nurses during exams and treatments
- Communicate clearly with parents and guardians about care instructions
- Ensure a clean, child-friendly, and organized environment
Qualifications :
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred, but not requiredExperience working with children in a medical settingMUST HAVE EXPERIENCE GIVING PEDIATRIC PATIENTS IMMUNIZATION SHOTSBasic knowledge of pediatric care and vaccination schedulesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCPR / BLS certification required#MED

Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
