Material Handler

PrideStaff is actively seeking a Material Handler for a client located in Thornton. This position is working outdoors in a lumber yard environment. This is a temp to hire opportunity based on performance and client need.

Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 am-5 : 00 pm. This company offers the opportunity for overtime (when their workload allows for additional hours).

Material Handler Job Description :

  • Banding completed orders for shipment
  • Checking in and receiving products from vendors.
  • Maintaining yard appearance by covering materials and cleaning up excess waste.
  • Building customer's orders for either pickup or delivery.
  • Unloading and loading semis, trucks, flatbeds, customer vehicles and our own delivery vehicles.
  • Maintaining excellent customer service practices.

Material Handler Job Requirements :

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Yard or delivery experience is preferred, but not required
  • Self-motivated, can work independently with minimal oversight or guidance after training
  • Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and coworkers
