About the Role
The Fleet Onsite Coordinator (LAX) plays a critical role in ensuring smooth, accurate, and efficient onsite fleet operations. This position serves as the operational bridge between drivers, dispatch, and warehouse teams, ensuring all check-in / out procedures, dock activities, trailer movements, and milestone updates are executed with precision. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, and maintains composure during high-volume or exception scenarios.
Responsibilities
Onsite Operations Execution
- Ensure daily onsite processes—including driver check-in / check-out, trailer assignments, and dock timing—are executed accurately and in compliance with operational standards.
- Provide real-time updates on TMS milestones to ensure dispatch receives accurate and timely information.
- Coordinate with local warehouse teams to support fleet dispatch and dock control.
- Support rapid issue identification and escalation to maintain smooth workflow during peak hours.
Coordination & Communication
Act as the primary communication bridge between onsite teams, linehaul, dispatch, and warehouse operations.Promote clear, timely, and accurate communication across all stakeholders to avoid operational delays.Workflow & Process Management
Maintain a strong understanding of onsite workflow, dock control procedures, appointment cycles, and routing logic.Support execution audits, workflow adjustments, and onsite process improvements.Assist with documentation workflows related to HOS, routing, and operational paperwork.Leadership & Ownership
Demonstrate accountability for onsite execution quality and operational outcomes.Maintain discipline and a calm, solutions-oriented approach during peak and exception situations.Uphold safety, accuracy, and operational standards at all times.Qualifications
Work Experience
1–3 years of experience in terminal, warehouse, or onsite transportation coordination.Background in dispatch support, dock operations, or driver check-in / out processes preferred.Required Skills
Familiarity with dock procedures, TMS milestone updates, and driver communication.Strong multitasking and coordination skills, with the ability to work under pressure.Basic knowledge of HOS (Hours of Service), routing, and documentation workflows.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to operational accuracy.Professional Competencies
