Reporting to Executive staff in the Division of Technical Affairs and Code Development, the Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer will work on mechanical code-related issues, and on various technical subject matters. The individual, with minimum supervision, is responsible for :

CIVIL SERVICE STATUS
Only permanent Administrative Engineers, applicants who are reachable on the Administrative Engineer open competitive list, and applicants as indicated below will be considered.
Candidates who are permanent in comparable civil service titles may be considered for title change under rule 6.1.9 of the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the City of New York.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer and six years of full-time satisfactory experience in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or plan examining work, at least two years of which must have been in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity.
