Reports to : President of Operations

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for providing complete management oversight for all aspects of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This includes planning, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, safety compliance, quality control, and client relations. The PM ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with Genesis Construction’s quality standards, while mentoring team members and fostering a culture of collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop cost-effective project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams across multiple projects.
  • Review and ensure compliance with architectural / engineering drawings, project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses.
  • Plan, implement, track, and close out / turnover construction projects, including final walkthroughs and meetings.

Financial Management

  • Forecast project costs, revenues, and profitability accurately.
  • Track and control budgets to achieve financial goals.
  • Review, process, and manage change orders in coordination with clients and subcontractors.
  • Client & Stakeholder Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and portfolio managers.
  • Provide timely progress updates and proactively resolve issues.
  • Lead project meetings and client presentations.
  • Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Implement and audit safety programs and quality control procedures.
  • Ensure all work is performed per Genesis Construction’s safety policies and industry best practices.
  • Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and develop junior staff, delegating tasks based on strengths and skill sets.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support professional growth.
  • Promote continuing education and development of supervised employees.
  • Reporting & Documentation

  • Utilize Buildertrend and other software for scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
  • Generate and distribute regular internal and external project reports.
  • Maintain accurate records including submittals, RFIs, and closeout documents.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace,  Buildertrend. Procore and    Bim360
  • Knowledge of financial management and job cost accounting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities efficiently.
  • Working Conditions

  • Combination of office and field work.
  • Up to 250% travel, including overnight stays.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. and work in varying site conditions.
  • This is an exempt position
