Position Summary

Strive Recovery is seeking a Business Office Manager / Billing and Coding Specialist with mandatory experience in behavioral and mental health coding. This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate claim submission, reimbursement processing, and resolution of billing issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, and confident working with insurance companies to handle claims and denials efficiently.

Job Description

  • Review and submit accurate claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes with required modifiers
  • Manage billing for Medicare, Medicaid, MCOs, and commercial insurers
  • Submit claims electronically and / or by paper after reviewing for billing accuracy
  • Provide education to clinicians on documentation requirements necessary to accurately billling
  • Research and resolve issues related to denied claims or billing discrepancies
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding claims with insurance payers
  • Support the Finance Officer with reporting and payment documentation

  • Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field
  • Certification in Billing and Coding
  • Minimum 2–3 years of behavioral and mental health billing / coding experience is required
  • Proficient in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party payer
