We are seeking a Project Manager with strong environmental, permitting, and pre-construction experience to lead complex, high-profile development projects. This role supports projects from early design through permitting, land use, routing, procurement, and regulatory approvals—driving schedules, communication, and coordination with internal teams and external agencies. What You’ll Do : Permitting & Environmental Compliance Serve as the liaison with local, state, federal, and tribal authorities. Develop permitting strategies and secure all building, zoning, environmental, and regulatory approvals (NEPA, Forest Service, Public Land, Tribal—as applicable). Coordinate environmental studies and manage consultants, internal SMEs, and legal teams. Ensure compliance with all conditions of approval and maintain required documentation. Project Planning & Management Develop project plans, schedules, routes, and siting strategies for major infrastructure projects. Incorporate environmental, land use, ROW, cultural, and site condition considerations into early planning. Apply project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Procore, GIS). Track project performance, budgets, risks, and milestones. Stakeholder & Agency Coordination Represent the company in public meetings, hearings, and discussions with agencies (e.g., NMPRC, AG’s Office). Lead cross-functional project teams in a matrixed environment. Facilitate internal and external stakeholder meetings and maintain clear communication across all parties. Preferred Skills & Experience Environmental, cultural, and permitting experience (NEPA, Forest / BLM, Tribal engagement strongly preferred). Routing and siting experience for linear or energy projects. Strong Microsoft Suite and GIS proficiency required. Background in project development, permitting, land use, ROW, or related technical fields. Effective negotiation, facilitation, and documentation skills. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering, environmental science, planning, etc.) 5–6 years of related project or environmental permitting experience. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills, including public speaking and report writing.
