Position Overview
The Manager, Retail Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing the total business operations of the retail pharmacy, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and exceptional patient service.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Plans, coordinates, and directs all activities for the provision of ambulatory pharmacy services accessed through retail sites.Supervises and schedules all pharmacy personnel; responsible for the appearance and profitability of the business.Develops and maintains appropriate controls and security of drugs and narcotics; ensures compliance with 340B program documentation and utilization requirements .Ensures adherence to all federal and state regulations related to the practice of pharmacy.Demonstrates understanding of Orlando Health structure, organization, and HR policies to facilitate strong team relationships.Sets direction and develops a vision with strategies necessary for achieving goals at assigned sites.Determines qualifications and competence of personnel; ensures sufficient staffing to provide care / service.Develops standards of care and performance for all staff.Implements effective documentation and performance measurement systems using meaningful outcomes (e.g., patient satisfaction, clinical function, economic impact).Coordinates quality improvement initiatives for care and services provided.Oversees professional growth and development programs for staff, including continuing education and training.Manages personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching, and disciplinary actions.Maintains regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and applicable laws (ADA, FMLA).Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.Qualifications
Education / Training
Pharmacy degree required (Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy).Licensure / Certification
Must hold an active license from the Florida Board of Pharmacy , renewed every two years.Experience
Minimum of five (5) years as a Retail Pharmacist , ORThree (3) years in retail pharmacy management or supervisory experience .Must have thorough knowledge of business management principles and pharmacy laws .
