Overview
CTG is seeking to fill a Telecom Project Manager position for our client in Houston, TX.
Duration : 12 months
About the Role :
Lead environment planning and management for large, complex telecom applications (100+ interconnected apps). Coordinate upgrades, automate sanity tests, manage defects, and ensure testing teams have stable, reliable environments. Mentor junior staff and drive process improvements across the team.
Key Responsibilities :
Plan and execute environment availability aligned with release schedules.
Manage system upgrades, daily sanity testing reports, and triage calls.
Coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve hardware and application issues.
Analyze defects and implement improvements to minimize downtime.
Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering collaboration and best practices.
Required Skills :
Project management experience with large-scale telecom applications.
Strong coordination skills across multiple environments and teams.
Analytical problem-solving for defects and system issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Preferred Skills :
Experience with environment strategy and full-year planning.
Sanity test automation and defect triage leadership.
Knowledge of current telecom technologies and testing methodologies.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
