Systems Engineer III

The Systems Engineer III provides leadership, coaching, and / or mentoring to coworkers. Performs administration and support functions in a large multi-server environment. This includes Windows, Linux, UNIX, virtualized platforms, load balancers, Docker containers, and cloud computing. Designs, installs, configures, maintains, performs and tests server-based technologies for both server installations of software and implementation of server infrastructure. Administers backup and restoration processes for all client mission critical systems. Creates and / or maintains infrastructure security including settings for servers, devices in the DMZ, OS patching, and corporate anti-virus. Tests configurations and monitors the performance of equipment; troubleshoots and resolves problems. Documents installation for applications, system configurations, and their functions. In addition, the Systems Engineer III automates infrastructure capabilities for deployments, backups, security, and monitoring.
