This role is based in a remote part of southern central Florida. All personnel will be required to live on-site, and meals and housing will be provided.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Laundry Operations Manager to lead our team at a custodial facility. In this senior role, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of all laundry operations, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and hygiene. You will oversee personnel, manage inventory, and optimize workflows to ensure that all linens, uniforms, and other items are processed seamlessly. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a proven track record of managing staff and maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all daily laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and uniforms.

Lead, train, and mentor a team of laundry attendants, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Manage the maintenance and operational readiness of all laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines, and liaise with maintenance for repairs.

Develop, implement, and enforce strict safety and sanitation protocols for handling laundry.

Implement and maintain a comprehensive inventory management system for all laundry supplies, proactively managing stock levels and placing orders as needed.

Conduct quality control checks on all processed items to ensure they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workflow within the laundry facility.

Collaborate with other departments to anticipate and meet their laundry needs in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a commercial laundry or similar high-volume facility.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be fluent in English.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Ability to pass a medical assessment and drug screening.

Work Environment :

Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

Physical Requirements :

Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and / or move up to 49 pounds.
