Production Engineer

Actalent is currently seeking a Production Engineer in Bethlehem, PA. Qualified candidates will have experience with PLCs, automation, and experience with working in a chemical manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide technical leadership across assigned production processes
Monitor yield, downtime, productivity, and quality to meet operational goals
Manage scheduling, raw material flow, and equipment utilization
Drive cost reduction through process improvements and workflow optimization
Lead troubleshooting, documentation, and SOP development
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
Support quality investigations, CAPAs, and validation protocols
Manage capital and maintenance projects from concept to execution

Qualifications :

BS in Chemical Engineering

3+ years in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing

Experience with batch / continuous distillation and hazardous chemicals (e.g., chlorine, HF)

Familiarity with PLCs, automation, and FDA-regulated environments

Strong communication, leadership, and multitasking skills

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel; experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Minitab or Aspen preferred

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $120000.00 / hr.
