What You Will Do :

Pratt & Whitney CSMC Business Unit is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer responsible for but are not limited to the following :

This position is for Alternate Work Week Schedule (Friday Saturday Sunday)

Interface with various Engineering Operations and Materials groups to resolve technical / quality issues

Lead teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective / preventive actions; lead and participate in various teams in support of the units CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) goals

Review and approve First Article inspections Solumina Work Instruction updates and Process Tryouts; perform product process and work instruction audits

Review and implement various internal and regulatory requirement changes; provide technical guidance and training to OEM Parts Inspectors

Assist with Escape investigations within Business Units

Qualifications You Must Have :

Bachelors Degree in in a STEM field and 8 or more years experience in an engineering manufacturing operations materials management program / project management supply chain / logistics or closely related industrial environment OR a Masters Degree and minimum 5 or more years experience in an engineering manufacturing operations materials management program / project management supply chain / logistics or closely related industrial environment

Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word Excel Outlook etc.)

Experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously with ability to obtain organize and analyze quality data

Understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean concepts

Qualifications We Prefer :

Engineering degree (aerospace industrial manufacturing mechanical quality)

Understanding of Pratt & Whitneys Quality Procedures Quality Management Systems and experience using CORE tools

Experience with Solumina and SAP software

Demonstrated effective root cause determination skills Red-X Fault Tree etc.

Experience in aerospace machining forgings castings or composites

Experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings

Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety requirements

Experience establishing and maintaining a quality management system ideally AS9100

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD - 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education / training and key skills.
