job_description.job_card.job_descriptionCurrent employee of the School District of Lee County. Valid Florida teaching certificate. Experience working with children in a group or educational setting. Knowledge of and experience with organizing student activities and events. Knowledge of general policies and procedures for the functional area of assignment. Knowledge of HIPAA Public Records Sunshine Law FERPA and other laws / regulations related to student and employee privacy public information and records retention. Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment materials practices computers and applications. Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with program staff and school personnel. Ability to relate to and inspire confidence in students. Ability to administer First Aid / CPR / AED as needed for illness injury or life-threatening emergencies per certification training guidelines. Typical duties include but are not limited to Implement structured activities including academic support arts and crafts games and physical play. Supervise students before and / or after regular school hours in a safe and nurturing environment. Promote positive behavior social development and respectful interactions among students. Set up and clean up program areas and materials daily. Report all accidents immediately to the Program Director. Communicate effectively with students staff and parents or guardians as needed. P erform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education experience and / or certifications may be considered.
- Valid Adult and Child First Aid / CPR / AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
