We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional to serve as a Manager, Employee Relations (ER) Partner and HR Business Partner (HRBP) . They will lead complex employee relations matters while also supporting HR Business Partners with broader HR initiatives. This hybrid role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who thrives in a evolving environment, balancing employee advocacy with business alignment. The ideal candidate will also bring strong analytical skills to help build and maintain reporting frameworks for employee relations and HR data.
Role Responsibilities :
- Employee Relations (Primary Focus – 60%) Lead and resolve complex employee relations cases, including conducting thorough and impartial investigations, performance management, conflict resolution, and policy interpretationPartner with legal and compliance teams to ensure consistent application of employment laws and internal policiesRecommend and implement appropriate actions in line with company policies, labor law, and risk mitigationProvide proactive and constructive coaching and guidance to managers and leaders on employee relations best practices and risk mitigationIdentify ER trends and recommend proactive solutions to improve workplace culture and reduce riskMaintain detailed documentation and case tracking, ensuring consistency and integrity of recordsEnsure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and internal company policies and proceduresDevelop and deliver training sessions on ER topics to managers to enhance their understanding and capabilities
- HR Business Partner Support (20%) Collaborate with HRBPs and business leaders to support workforce planning, talent development, and organizational effectivenessProvide guidance on compensation, performance reviews, and employee engagement strategiesAct as a trusted advisor to managers on team dynamics, change management, and employee lifecycle events
- Reporting & Analytics (20%) Design and maintain dashboards and reports related to employee relations cases, turnover, engagement, and other HR metricsAssist in quarterly or ad-hoc reporting cycles, including compliance reporting and trend analysisPartner with Analytics and HR Operations teams to ensure data integrity and actionable insights
Job Requirements and Experiences :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldPHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP certification preferredEmployee Relations and Investigations certification preferredMinimum 6 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in employee relationsDeep knowledge of employment law (ex., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII) and HR best practicesExperience with HRIS systems and data visualization tools (e.g., ADP, Airtable, Power BI, Tableau)Experience in a globally matrixed organization and fast-paced work environmentExperience working in a project-based organization with cross-functional teamsExperience supporting field-based, technical, or distributed workforces (e.g., wind, solar, grid operations, or construction teams)Demonstrated ability to support rapid organizational change and growth in mission-driven industriesCommunicates and delivers feedback effectively across departments and disciplinesProven ability to empathize and build relationships with people from a diverse set of backgroundsAbility to handle ambiguity and manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalismFamiliarity with case management systems and employee relations tracking toolsExcellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and TeamsFamiliarity with HRIS systems and reporting tools, especially ADP Workforce NowFamiliarity with safety-sensitive environments and related HR / ER considerationsUnderstanding of union and non-union labor dynamics in renewable energy sectorFosters a culture of continuous learning and improvementStrong organization and project management skills, coordinating multiple tasks and deliverablesAbility to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a teamMotivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilitiesResponds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachableIs detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business conceptsPassion for sustainability, clean energy, or environmental impact initiativesAbility to influence and build trust across all levels of the organizationThis position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locationsMust be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of timeBenefits offered : Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
