Position Summary
The Senior IT Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in driving strategic sourcing and procurement operations within a large-scale enterprise environment. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for IT goods and services—including hardware, software, SaaS, cloud, and professional services—while ensuring compliance, cost optimization, and alignment with enterprise technology standards. The ideal candidate is experienced in enterprise procurement processes, adept in contract negotiation, and proficient with ServiceNow as an intake and workflow management platform for IT purchasing requests.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy & Execution
Lead full-cycle procurement for IT categories including infrastructure, software licensing, SaaS, telecom, IT services, and Project Services contracts.
Manage intake of IT purchasing requests via ServiceNow, ensuring completeness, proper approvals, and adherence to category and spend thresholds.
Participate in the development of sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings, improve vendor performance, and reduce procurement risk.
Support execution of RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs to evaluate supplier capabilities and negotiate best-value outcomes.
Maintain high quality and timely communication with internal IT and business stakeholders for each assigned procurement request.
Contract Management & Negotiation
Lead contract negotiations for assigned software licensing, subscriptions, maintenance, and professional services agreements.
Collaborate with Legal, Data Privacy, Enterprise Architecture, and IT Security to ensure compliance with organizational policies, technology standards, and risk management requirements.
Maintain contract repository, track renewals, and manage key contract milestones to prevent lapse in services or unfavorable renewals.
Vendor Relationship & Performance Management
Partner with key technology vendors and internal stakeholders to manage supplier performance and service delivery.
Support quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with strategic suppliers to assess SLAs, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify opportunities for vendor consolidation, cost optimization, and innovation in service delivery.
Financial & Operational Management
Collaborate with IT Finance to support annual budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking for IT procurement.
Ensure all procurement activities follow enterprise financial controls, approval limits, and compliance requirements.
Support IT asset lifecycle management by coordinating with ITAM and inventory teams on purchases, renewals, and disposals.
Process Optimization & Systems
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on IT procurement workflows within ServiceNow, driving adoption and efficiency improvements.
Continuously review and enhance procurement processes to improve turnaround times and user experience.
Develop reporting and analytics dashboards to provide visibility into IT spend, vendor performance, and request metrics.
Qualifications
Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
6–10 years of progressive experience in IT procurement or strategic sourcing within a large enterprise environment.
Strong background in software licensing models (SaaS, perpetual, subscription) and cloud service agreements (IaaS, PaaS, etc.).
Preferred : Experience using ServiceNow for request intake, approvals, and procurement workflow management.
Preferred : Familiarity with Coupa which is our standard and currently being rolled out globally.
Skills & Competencies :
Proven negotiation and contract management expertise with complex, multi-vendor agreements.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across IT, Finance, Legal, and business units.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, ITIL, or CPM are a plus.
