AECOM is actively seeking an Environmental Science / Ecologist Intern to be based in our Conshohocken, PA office. Internships at AECOM offer students in undergraduate and graduate programs the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in engineering design, and infrastructure projects that make a real-world impact. This position is expected to begin May / June 2026.

The Science Intern will support our EPP team in both the field and office. We are seeking a motivated candidate who would like to develop and advance in a full-time environmental career. With world-class technical expertise, leading-edge technology, and innovative project delivery capability around the world, AECOM's global environmental practice helps industry and government meet their business goals to achieve compliance, reduce or eliminate risks and manage impacts. We provide advisory and technical services to help clients clean up and close contaminated sites and surplus operational facilities and restore them for reuse, plan and permit new facilities, address critical climate change issues, restore habitats and water quality, protect natural and cultural resources, maintain compliance, and cost-effectively manage residuals and wastes. Job responsibilities include, but may not be limited to :

• Working with the AECOM ecological team to become familiar with our field survey equipment, data forms and other data collection and reporting tools.
• Assisting AECOM ecological teams in performing stream, wetland, wildlife habitat assessments, and other ecological field surveys.
• Assisting AECOM ecological teams with writing and developing field data sheets and reports.
• Assisting with coordination of various governmental agencies regarding ecological survey protocols, reporting standards, or endangered and threatened species coordination.
• Creating field maps and report mapping through Geographic Information System (GIS) programs, specifically ESRI software.
• Reviewing desktop information to complete environmental impact assessments.
