Job Title : Home Health Care Scheduler

Location : Dallas TX 75240

Reports To : Operations Manager

Schedule :   Monday to Friday; on-call responsibilities; rotating weekends

Job Type : Full-time

Position Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Home Health Care Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client schedules, coordinating caregiver assignments, and ensuring efficient communication between field staff, clients, and families. This role is essential to maintaining seamless patient care and supporting the continuous operation of our 24 / 7 services at Always Best Care Senior Services.

The Scheduler plays a critical role in optimizing staff utilization, maintaining continuity of care, and ensuring high standards in scheduling operations. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities :

Scheduling & Coordination :

  • Schedule and manage home health visits based on patient care needs and preferences.
  • Optimize caregiver schedules to ensure coverage and timeliness of care.
  • Act as the main point of contact for patients and families regarding scheduling inquiries and updates.
  • Conduct initial meet-and-greet visits between caregivers and clients at their homes.
  • Communicate with home health providers to confirm schedules and resolve conflicts.

Administrative Support :

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client schedules, caregiver assignments, and visit documentation.
  • Use scheduling software to monitor and adjust staff assignments as needed.
  • Address scheduling conflicts and last-minute changes promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with management to address staffing shortages and optimize workforce utilization.
  • Compliance & Customer Service :

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, healthcare regulations, and quality standards.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to caregivers, clients, and their families.
  • Respond to concerns regarding care schedules with empathy and professionalism.
  • Qualifications : Education :

    High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Associate degree in healthcare administration or a related field preferred.

    Experience :

    A minimum of 1 year of experience in scheduling, healthcare administration, or a related role is required.

    Experience in home health or senior care is highly desirable.

    Work Environment :

    This role is based in a fast-paced office environment within a home health care setting. The Scheduler will collaborate closely with caregivers, clients, and their families. Occasional travel may be required for training, client meetings, or home visits.
