JOB RELATIONSHIPS

Responsible to Administrator.

DEFINITION OF POSITION

The primary role of this position is to assist and support the surgeon or the surgical APP in clinical, procedural and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient flow and care delivery. The work environment is fast-paced and requires excellent multitasking, communication and organizational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.

Some knowledge of third party billing. Medical terminology.

Recognition of physical exam process and ability to record exam details.

Proficiency with computer applications and typing.

Ability to maintain confidential medical information BLS for Healthcare Providers certified.

Current AHA BLS certification required.
