Electrician

This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of the plant's industrial electrical equipment. The position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities :

• Troubleshoot PLC, VFDs, AC-DC Drives, and relay logic control systems.
• Perform control panel troubleshooting and wiring.
• Instruct co-workers on PLC / VFD / AC-DC Drive logic.
• Use a volt meter; check and replace fuses, motor starters, relays, pumps, motors, and AC-DC systems; and troubleshoot faulty electric circuits.
• Assist the general maintenance crew with equipment rebuilds, plant shutdowns, and new equipment installations.
• Perform preventive maintenance as prescribed and recommend alterations based on data collected.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.
• Assist all departments with breakdowns.
• Follow all safety requirements.
• Perform daily maintenance sheets on all plant equipment.
• Scope may vary based on the size and complexity of the plant and equipment.
• Support CAPEX projects and activities as needed.

Work Environment :

The work environment is clean, well-lit, and organized. The maintenance shop is particularly well-organized. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and work gloves for protection. The role involves exposure to external elements, including hot and cold temperatures, and occasional loud noises. Physical activity includes standing and walking long distances on the plant floor for extended shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of Elyria, OH.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
