Recommended qualifications include a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, a passing score on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE), active state licensure, and at least one year of clinical experience. Additional skills such as adaptability, communication, decision-making, and certifications like BLS and CPR are valued. Experience in acute care or inpatient settings is often preferred.
