Job Description :

Microchip has an exciting opportunity for a Master Engineering Technician at our facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama . As our site continues to grow, we are pleased to expand our team and will be fully ready to support this new position after November 1st . This role offers the opportunity to operate in a highly technical and scientific environment, employing a variety of manufacturing and testing techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities :

• Support Engineering Activities including : Design, Test, Check-out, Modification, Fabrication & Assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, RF / Microwave devices and specialized test equipment.
• Applications include Electronic Circuits, Microwave RF, and Logic Systems.
• Work from Schematics, Diagrams, Written and Verbal Descriptions, Layouts or Defined plans to perform testing, Check-out and troubleshooting functions.
• Perform Operation Test and Fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
• Assist in design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment.
• Use manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
