Integrate AI / ML into NATO experimentation, exercises, and wargaming. Develop scalable applications supporting NATO’s AI / DS workflows. Build APIs, front-end dashboards, and secure data pipelines. Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize AI / ML solutions. Provide advanced coding and systems engineering expertise. Lead software design and architecture for NATO AI / DS platforms. Ensure code quality, performance, and integration with NATO networks and systems. University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI / ML, Engineering, or related field. Hands-on experience in AI / ML, data science, software engineering, or full-stack development depending on category. Demonstrated experience working in multinational, defense, or research organizations. Proficiency with modern programming languages (Python, R, Java, C++), data visualization tools, and cloud / virtualization environments. Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Citizenship of a NATO member nation. Active NATO or National SECRET (or higher) clearance Familiarity with Agile / DevSecOps methodologies. Experience with big data analytics, edge AI, or federated learning. Track record of deploying AI / ML in real-world mission or enterprise environments. Knowledge of NATO structures, experimentation processes, and operational decision-making.

Role Overview
Ironclad Defense Works (IDW) is seeking top-tier Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Software Developers to join NATO’s Data Science & AI Branch at ACT in Norfolk, VA. These positions offer a chance to design, build, and deploy advanced AI, machine learning, and software solutions that directly enhance NATO’s warfare development, experimentation, and decision-support capabilities.
