Pay Rate : $47.21 per hour

About the Role

In this school-based role, you will :

Interpret classroom lessons, activities, and routines using appropriate sign language

Support student participation in classroom and school activities

Adjust communication style based on student’s age and developmental level

Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, and families

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school district and state standards

What We're Looking For

Associate’s Degree in Educational Interpreting or a related field from an accredited program

Must have EIPA score or have completed the IDHHC Interpreter Test with score in hand

Must have ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education) approval -  District will assist in completing the approval process if needed

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for equitable education
