Job Summary
Kairos Power is seeking a highly motivated fabricator with expertise relevant to fabrication of piping this role you will contribute to successful completion of piping systems for the various systems of our reactors. This role requires in position and out of position welding. You will be responsible for meeting timelines and increased improvement of the pipe welding capabilities. This includes manual tig welding as well as orbital welding. The candidate must have knowledge of infrastructure setup operation and maintenance requirement for advanced shop equipment. Candidate shall have knowledge of modern fabrication techniques and proven record of successful cross-functional collaboration. Candidate ideally takes pride in their craftsmanship organization and attention to detail. We offer a fast moving and exciting environment.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble piping systems to meet engineering and print specifications.
- Perform high-quality TIG and orbital welding on a variety of materials and pipe schedules.
- Interpret and work from isometric drawings blueprints and technical specifications.
- Provide fast turn-around prototypes for engineering development and testing.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering teams to problem solve fabrication issues and execute work request.
- Propose optimal / innovative fabrication techniques for given jobs.
- Participate as a team member on large-scale fabrication projects ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Fabricate piping systems to meet print requirements.
- Conduct training occasionally on machine capability and best practices to enhance fabrication of piping systems.
- Maintain current welding certifications and documentation in accordance to company and ASME standards.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable safety standards procedures and codes.
- Maintain equipment tools and the fabrication workspace in safe and reliable condition.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and 3 years related experience and / or training1-3 years working in a fabrication / welding shop desiredGTAW experience involving variety of materials including tubing to schedule 160 pipeAbility to pass 6G super coupon weld certificationExperience with manual tools requiredExperience with Manual machining (Lathe and Mill) desiredExperience with 3D CAD software desiredExperience working with Stainless material and vessel fabrication desiredKnowledge Skills & Abilities
