DESCRIPTION
The Director, Inpatient Intra Operative Nursing will oversee inpatient operating room units including, Jacobs Medical Center, Hillcrest Main OR and Hillcrest OSC.
The Director designs and oversees nursing and administrative operations in large and / or multiple patient care areas. Accountable for the overall administrative planning and coordination of the staffing, fiscal and material resources. Assists with the development and implementation of new programs and policies. Direct reports are typically managers, assistant nurse managers, coordinators and supervisors. Performs other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Nursing and eight or more years of progressive leadership experience in perioperative services, or equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
Registered Nurse in the State of California
Strong hospital management experience, with progressive and in-depth expertise in patient care and perioperative services. Knowledge of hospital / clinic operations in a hospital or medical center setting; working knowledge of appropriate professional standards for the department and team.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills to foster and promote an environment for effective communication and collaborative decision making across multiple units and disciplines.
Excellent leadership, fiscal and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, management and staff from all disciplines.
Ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork, collaboration and consistent achievement of objectives.
Strong knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows and processes.
Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing and compliance environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doctoral degree in Nursing or relevant area
Certification in relevant area, i.e., CNOR, CSSM
Three or more years of leadership experience in an adult academic medical center
Experience in oversight of multi-site operations, i.e., two or more separate physical locations
Experience in design and development including retrofit and new construction
Leadership within a unionized environment

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range : $168,800 - $341,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent : $80.84 - $163.41
