Infrastructure Engineer

Description

Infrastructure Engineer position has 3 levels within the job family with progressive responsibilities. This posting is open to all levels and the candidate will be hired into the level that best matches their current experience.

Duties and Responsibilities Level I :

• Manages technology by monitoring and maintaining production technologies in the network, security, server, telecommunications and application domains; ensures that all managed technologies meet our service level expectations; issues such as capacity needs must be anticipated and proactively addressed.
• Delivers new technology by designing and implementing new technologies which meet company service level and information security requirements; technology should perform as expected and be implemented without significant issues.
• Builds new systems and performs updates.
• Monitors current systems using testing software and other tools; maintain existing systems by performing maintenance and updating systems; implements upgrades and new systems.
• Manages service providers and vendors effectively; sets expectations; develops performance metrics; measures vendor performance, provides feedback and holds accountable.
• Able to work independently taking regular guidance and direction from senior staff.
• Performs troubleshooting and assists Help Desk with issue resolution.
