Basic Job Functions
Operate and monitor machines to ensure efficient and accurate production, including loading materials, selecting tools, programming controls, and performing setups. Follow blueprints to manufacture parts and use precision instruments to inspect finished items for quality compliance. Maintain safety and proper alignment when handling metal materials and using power tools. Keep a clean, organized work area in compliance with company standards, and perform other duties as assigned by supervision. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
