About The Position

Occupational Therapist

Profession : Therapy / Rehabilitation

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (08 : 00 - 16 : 30)

Experience : Minimum 2 years overall experience with 1 year in specialty required

License : Occupational Therapist licensure by the state board required

Certifications : BLS required

Must-Have :

• Experience with charting system
• Community hospital experience required
• Experience in trauma settings preferred

Description :

This position is an acute care Occupational Therapy role.

The therapist will work a Monday to Friday schedule with weekend rotation.

The role includes potential ICU patient care as well as care on acute medical floors.

Responsibilities include completing evaluations and treatments.

Supervision and guidance of COTA staff with plans of care will also be required.

This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.

The patient age groups will include adults and geriatrics.

Daily census will be approximately 215 patients.

The therapist will engage with various patient diagnoses, including but not limited to, stroke and multiple medical conditions.

Floating to different units may be required.

This role demands strong skills in assessing and treating a wide range of conditions.

Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential for this position.
