job_description.job_card.job_descriptionRequires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and some of the financial support needed to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses Training is provided to develop a team of ministry partners Pay range is $73,868 - $150,641 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors Paid vacation, sick, holidays, and more (once eligible) Health benefits (medical, dental, and vision) 403(b) retirement savings plan to help you plan for the future Flexible hours and work-from-home availability Work for a growing Christian organization Staff care to support mental, social, and spiritual health for all staff As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Chief Development Officer will play a strategic role in the organization's overall leadership and help guide the ministry's direction and strategy Provide ministry-wide direction of fundraising that supports IFI's entire ministry needs to advance our mission Design, implement and oversee ministry-wide structures, systems, and processes to ensure the effectiveness of IFI's fundraising activities Work closely with the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Ministry Officer, building collaborative relationships with department heads to ensure cohesiveness between the International Student Ministry, Ministry Support and Fundraising functions Directly supervise development staff, acting as the primary liaison between the CEO and staff with fundraising responsibilities and will streamline and filter communications, objectives and directives required to ensure that all established IFI ministries are financially thriving Develop a culture of generosity and transformational giving based on Biblical values to involve each staff, board member and fundraising volunteer, and stimulate each one to give his / her best Set up rules of engagement between donors to the national, local, and staff support fundraising levels to affirm the value in each level and build unity and an abundance culture Provide general oversight of all of the organization's development activities, manage the day-to-day operations of the development function, and monitor adequacy of activities Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies, as well as ECFA Standards practiced by IFI Is faithful, loyal and dedicated to IFI's mandate from the Lord to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international students out of reverence for Jesus Godly character that follow the examples defined in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1 A competent development tactician, an excellent organizational development expert with excellent attention-to-detail Person of prayer and spiritual maturity, who remains teachable and prayerful Team-building experience & experience in working with multicultural teams and enjoys encouraging and helping others succeed Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work under stress and be flexible Exhibits a positive, professional manner, is a self-starter, able to work independently Has discernment and strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications
Chief Development Officer
International Friendships, Inc. is a growing faith-based organization, whose mission is to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international college students. We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips. Our home office is based in Columbus, OH, and this position can be a work-from-home position from elsewhere in the U.S.
Expected work schedule for the Chief Development Officer :
- Full-time, flexible schedule
- Occasional evenings and / or weekends for specific events / projects
- Attendance at several conferences each year, including IFI Staff Retreats
