Overview

Experienced and adaptable Registered Nurses are needed to join a high-performing Float Pool Medical Surgical team in Gainesville, FL . This role offers the flexibility to work across multiple medical-surgical units, providing comprehensive patient care while gaining exposure to diverse clinical environments. Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care across multiple Med-Surg units.

Serve as a patient advocate while ensuring privacy, safety, and confidentiality.

Assess, plan, and implement individualized care for each patient.

Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Administer medications and perform clinical interventions per established protocols.

Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.

Adapt quickly to various unit protocols and patient care priorities.

Qualifications

Required :

Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license (must obtain FL license within 60 days of relocation).

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Med-Surg RN experience .

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.

Current BLS certification (AHA).

Willingness to float between units and work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends.

Must reside within a commutable distance (under 60 minutes) of the facility.

Preferred :

Additional acute care or specialty float experience.

Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage a 7 : 1 nurse-to-patient ratio effectively.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive flat rate : $43 / hour regardless of experience.
