Purchasing Coordinator – Warehouse Department Location :

  • We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our Warehouse Department.

Position Overview :

  • The Purchasing Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that the right materials and services are procured at the right time and at the right cost.
  • You will be responsible for placing and tracking purchase orders, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet production demands.
  • This role requires cross-department collaboration and strong communication skills.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and manage an accurate vendor database.
  • Create, issue, and monitor purchase orders using internal systems.
  • Ensure inventory levels are adequate to support manufacturing and operational needs.
  • Actively manage open purchase orders and maintain communication with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Expedite materials when necessary and provide accurate ETA updates.
  • Adjust purchasing volumes based on inventory trends, supply availability, or product changes.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies with orders, invoices, and shipments.
  • Work with vendors to arrange repairs, replacements, or credits for non-conforming items.
  • Organize and maintain physical and digital purchasing records and reports.
  • Prepare internal communications, reports, and forms as needed.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate closely with supervisors and management on procurement-related matters.
  • Support additional tasks and duties as required.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • MUST HAVE : 3+ years of purchasing OR procurement experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Experience with Fishbowl and QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Marine industry experience preferred but not required.
