Environmental Service Worker

Job Summary : The Environmental Service Worker focuses on Infection Control and Prevention by providing proper cleaning and sanitation throughout the hospital and assigned site campuses. Reports to : Supervisor, Environmental Services.

Job Specific Responsibilities :

• Perform cleaning projects, providing support to coordinate and complete minor maintenance tasks, moves, and set ups.
• Facilitate employee training and development.
• Perform area inspections to evaluate and monitor quality performance, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and infection control standards.
• Maintain current area specific records, supply / equipment and inventory control.
• Assist housekeeping and floor technicians with cleaning patient rooms, isolation rooms, and all other common areas to patient, visitors, and staff, when needed; cleaning requires exposure to blood, blood borne pathogens, and bodily fluids.
• All other assigned duties related to Environmental Services.
