Job Description

The Network Specialist - Journeyman supports mission-essential operations within the agency. Working closely with senior engineers and government personnel, this position contributes to network planning, analysis, integration, and maintenance efforts across secure DoD enclaves.

Job Duties

  • Assist in conducting daily network health checks, configuration reviews, and basic compliance assessments
  • Help identify and reduce single points of failure and improve redundancy
  • Support documentation and reporting of network status and findings

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret, with SCI eligibility
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in network administration, engineering, or IT infrastructure roles
  • Familiarity with secure government networks (SIPRNet, NIPRNet, JWICS, SCI)
  • Experience with basic network configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring tools
  • Understanding of DoD security standards and STIG compliance processes

    • Certifications :

  • CompTIA Security+ CE (DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant – required)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Network+ or equivalent
  • ITIL Foundations – preferred
