Lead Tax Analyst

Amway is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Tax Analyst to join our US Tax Compliance team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our tax compliance and related processes. You will review federal, state and local income tax returns, handle tax notices and focus on tax accounting during year end. You will also lead various tax projects such as research on federal and state tax issues, cross-functional collaborations within the organization and mentor and guide tax staff.

This is an on-site role based in Grand Rapids, MI. Travel is minimal (up to 10%) and primarily for professional development or conferences.

Day to day, you will be responsible for :

• Leading the preparation and review of federal and state corporate income tax returns for accuracy and completeness.
• Partnering with external service providers to manage compliance deliverables.
• Mentoring and guiding tax staff
• Managing tax audits and responding to inquiries from tax authorities
• Driving process improvements and automation within our tax workflows by working with our in-house technology solutions team.

The Corporate Tax Department is responsible for tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax planning for Amway's global organization. Our team of skilled professionals operates in a dynamic and evolving world of tax policy and compliance. We host an in-house technology team that deploys technology solutions including automation and data analytics tools to streamline processes and drive efficiency. The Domestic team focuses on US tax compliance including areas related to income tax, excise tax, sales and use tax, property tax, and tax credits.
