Tufting Instructor

Position Overview : We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Tufting Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will guide workshop participants through the rug tufting process, ensuring they have a fun, safe, and engaging experience. This role blends teaching, customer service, and artistic expertise.Responsibilities : Lead tufting workshops for groups and individuals of varying skill levels.Teach participants how to safely and effectively use tufting guns, materials, and tools.Provide hands-on guidance, encouragement, and troubleshooting during sessions.Prepare and set up workstations, yarn, backing cloths, and tufting frames prior to classes.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe studio environment.Monitor equipment, perform minor maintenance, and report repairs as needed.Represent Tuft Rugs ATLs brand by delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere.Assist with creative studio events and special projects as needed.Qualifications : Artistic or creative background (textiles, art, craft, or design experience preferred).Strong communication and teaching / presentation skills.Ability to engage and encourage groups with a positive, energetic attitude.Comfortable working with tufting equipment (training provided if no prior experience).Detail-oriented, responsible, and reliable.Prior experience in teaching, instructing workshops, or customer service is a plus.Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for extended periods of time.Comfortable with light lifting (up to 25 lbs) for materials and equipment setup.
