Welder on 3rd Shift
$20 - 26 / hr. $2 shift differential
- Will train on days and then move to 3rd shift, Monday - Thursday 8p-6a, OT on Friday.
OVERALL SUMMARY
Under direct supervision - Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. Mon -Thurs 8pm to 6am possible OT on Friday.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Proficient in assigned welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick weldingInterpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbolsKnowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materialsWorking knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)Conventional and precision measuring instrumentsProcess inspection, certification, and documentationWelding equipment maintenanceFinish grinding applications using manual and power toolsSafety and HousekeepingRequires good attendance and punctualityOther duties as assigned by the area supervisorBluco or Fitting experience strongly preferredCommunicates effectively both verbally and in writingGood math and measurement skillsAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsAbility to manage several projects simultaneouslyAble to bend, reach, push, pull and put parts into positions for welding.Able to lift 50-lbs. frequently and 100-lbs. occasionally from a floor or bench level to a welding table or fixture.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma, or equivalentOne year experience in various forms of welding, preferably in a job shop environmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
