Position Overview

GTI Energy is seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations at our advanced facility in Goodyear, AZ. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, production quality, safety compliance, and on-time delivery within a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing operations, team leadership, and Lean process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations, including production, scheduling, maintenance, and quality assurance.

Supervise and develop production supervisors and team leads, ensuring accountability and performance consistency.

Monitor and improve key metrics : throughput, scrap rates, downtime, yield, and labor productivity.

Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects.

Enforce OSHA safety standards and environmental compliance, promoting a culture of safety.

Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and HR to align production with business priorities.

Manage labor and material costs to ensure operational efficiency and budget compliance.

Support capacity planning, forecasting, and workforce development.

Handle employee relations : performance evaluations, coaching, corrective actions, and shift scheduling.

Design and implement training programs to upskill the manufacturing workforce.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment—ideally in defense, energy, or aerospace sectors.

Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and 5S workplace organization.

Hands-on experience with ERP / MRP systems (Paycom or UKG preferred).

Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and implement process change.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).

Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and audit readiness.

Working Conditions

Full-time, on-site role in a fast-paced, production-focused facility.

Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
