Westaff is looking to hire Bilingual Property Manager for property management company in New Haven, CT!
Hours : Monday-Friday 8am-4 : 30pm
Pay : $25-30 / hr+ Depending on Experience
The Property Administrator is responsible for the efficient day-to-day management of real estate properties, ensuring tenants are satisfied, properties are maintained, and all financial and legal obligations are met. The Property Administrator will typically work in an office environment within a property management company or directly on-site at the managed properties. The role may require occasional visits to properties for inspections, meetings with tenants, or overseeing maintenance activities. Some weekend or after-hours work may be needed in case of emergencies.
Key Responsibilities for the Property Administrator are :
- Manage daily operations of a large apartment complex, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local housing regulations
- Oversee all aspects of Section 8 , Tax Credit (LIHTC) , Project-based and voucher programs including move-ins, annual recertifications, interim recertifications, and unit inspections
- Perform EIV (Enterprise Income Verification) checks in accordance with HUD regulations
- Ensure full occupancy through proactive leasing, retention, and occupancy review processes
- Maintain compliance with affordable housing program requirements and ensure timely completion of reports and audits
- Supervise on-site staff including but not limited to Assistant Managers, Leasing Agents, Recertification Specialists, Collection Agents, and Maintenance Technicians
- Respond to resident concerns, resolve issues, and foster a positive living environment
- Oversee rent collection, delinquency follow-ups, and legal proceedings related to non-payment
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Property Administrator are :
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration, real estate, or a related field is preferred.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in property management, with a focus on affordable housing programsStrong working knowledge of HUD, Section 8, LIHTC, EIV , Project-based and voucher-based housing regulationsBilingual (English / Spanish) requiredExperience managing a large apartment complex or multi-site portfolio preferredProficient in property management software (Yardi)Knowledge of leasing agreements, local property laws, and financial management.Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.Experience in dealing with legal documents such as leases, contracts, and notices.APPLY TODAY for IMMEDIATE consideration for the Property Manager position!!
