Duties / Responsibilities

Duties / Responsibilities

Technicians will be primarily responsible for constructing, repairing, and monitoring barbed wire hair snares, beginning in early May and extending to early August. Primary duties will include hair snare deployment, data entry, processing of field samples, and equipment maintenance.

Hair snare monitoring efforts are part of a multi-year research project tasked with assessing South Georgia's black bear population abundance and genetic diversity.
