Job Purpose : The Sterilization Tech will support the dentist, and team, in providing quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work independently, sterilize and maintain instruments, equipment, set up and break down of treatment areas, and providing a clean and professional environment in general spaces Salary : $19-22 per hour

Primary Duties

• Setting up and breaking down sterilization area beginning and end of day, as well as making sure all instruments are processing before leaving for lunch.
• Breaking down, cleaning, and setting up operatories between patients; (both treatment rooms and hygiene rooms) monitoring who may be behind to help them get the rooms turned around.
• Clean supplies, equipment, instruments, and instrument trays, following standard precautions for decontamination.
• Running instruments through ultrasonic and sterilizer machines, keeping sterile area clean and organized.
• Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments properly : must remove all organic and inorganic materials from dental instruments before sterilization process.
