Overview

PACE Supply's PVF Division in Stockton, CA is looking to add a self starter Sales Admin to the team. This position will provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the PVF department. They will be responsible for maintaining confidential and time sensitive material as directed and communicate via phone and email ensuring that all administrative duties that are assigned are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. May direct and lead the work of others and will often be called upon to use prior experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Responsibilities

Customer Interactions

  • Actively monitors all customer and vendor activity ensuring timely follow up
  • Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.
  • Coordinates any necessary communication between vendor and PACE

Vendor Interactions

  • Processes standard customer inquiries concerning order status, price quotes, availability and related questions
  • Quote, Orders and Purchase Orders

  • Enter vendor documents and records into computer database.
  • Reviews sales orders for correct price, product code, part number and descriptions per company computer system or catalog listing.
  • Internal Communications

  • Communicates timely with relevant team members of necessary information.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a cooperative manner with customers, co-workers, and managers.
  • Qualifications

    Technical / Functional Competencies

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
  • Ability to problem solve and make appropriate recommendations when situations occur that deviate from standardized processes and procedures.
  • Ability to organize work and pay attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of business / office equipment (e.g., photocopy machine, simple calculator) and practices (e.g., business communications).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, etc.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to give and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to speak effectively with vendors, customers, and co-workers, including excellent phone and customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively train others.
  • Ability to learn and follow rules, methods, policies, and procedures of the workplace.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Minimum / Ideal Education

    High School diploma

    Minimum Work Experience and Skills

    Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify.

  • General knowledge of plumbing products is preferred.
  • Internal PACE MIS and prior inside sales is highly desirable.
