Toxic Tort / Environmental Associate Attorney

• Practice Area Environmental Litigation and Mass Tort
• Location : Washington, D.C.
• Schedule : Onsite or Hybrid per firm policy; full-time with standard AmLaw 20 billable requirements (~2,000+ annually)
• Salary : Estimated base range of $215,000 to $280,000 with annual bonuses typically $20,000 to $65,000+ , depending on class year, performance, and firm results.

An Amlaw 20 firm with a nationally recognized environmental litigation practice representing Fortune 500 companies, industry coalitions, and government entities. The Washington, D.C. office handles high-stakes litigation involving environmental regulations, mass tort claims, and complex compliance disputes.

Description :

The role involves representing clients in federal and state litigation, administrative proceedings, and multi-district litigation arising from environmental laws, chemical exposure claims, and large-scale mass tort matters. You will draft pleadings, manage discovery, develop defense strategies, and work closely with technical experts. The position offers immediate courtroom exposure, involvement in cutting-edge environmental law matters, and the chance to work alongside seasoned trial lawyers on matters of national importance.
